I looooove this little dictionary。 It may be that I love it because I was deprived of a "big" Japanese dictionary for so long and had to resort to a tiny pocket-sized thing that ended up falling apart because I used it so much （and it was shoddy， I think）， but I really do think this dictionary deserves some recognition。 It's been so reliable to me over the past few years。 I think I've only ever once looked up something that I couldn't find in it and that was probably a slang word。 It has super h I looooove this little dictionary。 It may be that I love it because I was deprived of a "big" Japanese dictionary for so long and had to resort to a tiny pocket-sized thing that ended up falling apart because I used it so much （and it was shoddy， I think）， but I really do think this dictionary deserves some recognition。 It's been so reliable to me over the past few years。 I think I've only ever once looked up something that I couldn't find in it and that was probably a slang word。 It has super helpful appendices in the middle pages that you can use as quick references for grammar， numbers， counters， days of the month and week， months， names of Japanese government ministries and agencies， Japanese political parties， Japanese historical periods and eras， as well as a chronological table of said eras。 Although this says "pocket，" I'd like to see someone fit this in their pocket。。。 it's more like "saddlebag kenkyusha。" I'm not complaining， though！ I wanted a big dictionary （after the frustration of that tiny one）。 I know there's at least one dictionary out there that's fancier than this， but this one cost me $18 and that one cost $40 last time I checked。 I'm perfectly happy with this one and my kanji dictionary。 。。。more
